NZETA Application Process

NZETA is the New Zealand Electronic Text Archive. NZETA is a digital repository of electronic texts and metadata for New Zealand cultural heritage. NZETA was founded in 2006, and is hosted by University of Auckland Libraries.

NZETA houses texts from a range of sources including newspapers, journals, government reports, books, manuscripts, and audio-visual materials. NZETA’s mission is to make these resources available online and to support research and education in New Zealand culture.

Users can search through the collection by title, author, keyword or subject matter. The collection also features full-text search capabilities and allows users to create custom search results pages. Users can also browse through the collection by decade or by genre.

 NZETA offers a number of tools for researchers and educators including a full-text PDF reader, annotation tools, bibliographic manager, blogging platform, course management system (CMS), eprints server, transcription service and user forum.
